Same-night express deliveries within Switzerland
Same-night express means your shipment is picked up and delivered within the same night. Ideal for urgent spare parts, documents and samples between Swiss locations.
Quick answer
Same-night express delivers your shipment within one night: pickup and delivery happen during the same operating night instead of the next calendar day. For businesses, this cuts waiting time for spare parts, documents or samples between Swiss sites.
What is same-night express?
Same-night express is a courier service that secures pickup and delivery within the same night. Unlike next-day courier services, the same-night option completes the route during the operating night. It is designed for shipments that must arrive at their destination that same evening.
When to use same-night express
Use the service for time-critical needs: machine spare parts, urgent business documents, samples or prototypes between production and testing sites. It also helps for last-minute event or trade-fair deliveries in cities such as Zurich, Basel, Geneva or Lausanne.
Which shipments qualify?
Suitable shipments are approved, safely packed items that fit in a standard passenger car. Avoid regulated goods such as hazardous materials, temperature-controlled items, heavy machinery or regulated medical products. Check dimensions and weight against a typical estate car capacity.
Process: From pickup to delivery in one night
1) Booking: Provide pickup and delivery addresses, time windows and shipment details. 2) Pickup: A courier collects the item in the evening. 3) Transport: Direct drive or short consolidated runs depending on route. 4) Delivery: Handover to the recipient during the night, with signature or photo proof of delivery.
Benefits for your business
Same-night express reduces downtime, speeds decision cycles and improves customer satisfaction. You avoid production stops and can have critical parts ready before the next shift. Night delivery eases logistical pressure on busy Swiss corridors.
Practical tips for a smooth same-night delivery
Pack adequately: sturdy boxes, padding and clear labelling. Verify addresses and contact numbers. Prepare accompanying documents. Communicate pickup windows and expected delivery timeframe. Book early so night routing can be arranged.
Frequently asked questions
How long before pickup do I need to book?
Book as early as possible on the same day. Exact cut-off times depend on region and capacity; confirm pickup deadlines when you book. Earlier bookings improve the chance of night pickup.
Is tracking available?
Yes. Many same-night services provide tracking and status updates during the night. Ask for real-time status or proof of delivery by photo or signature.
What if the recipient is not available at night?
Agree on alternatives in advance. Options include leaving the parcel at a secure location or delivering to a 24-hour depot. Without arrangements, the courier may delay delivery or return the shipment.
Which Swiss locations are covered?
Same-night express covers common Swiss routes and cities, including Zurich, Bern, Basel, Geneva and Lausanne. Exact coverage depends on capacity and booking time.
